Body Intellgience and the multiple Brains

We spoke with Margaret Moore about her fascinating work on ‘Body Intelligence’ and how it relates to coaching and the multiple brains. Margaret is the founder and CEO of Wellcoaches Corporation and a director of the Institute of Coaching at Harvard Medical School. She is co-author of the Coaching Psychology Manual which was the first coaching textbook in health care. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology and was an executive for 17 years in the biotech industry in the UK, Canada, France, and the US. Margaret also writes for Psychology Today and The Huffington Post.

According to Margaret, in her article ‘Body Intelligence: A Guide to Self-Attunement’, there’s a type of intelligence that is critical in life: body intelligence (BQ). BQ refers to how aware you are of your body, what you know and what you actually do for and with your body. “The concept may sound new, but it is central to everything you do.”
