Biography

After high school, I wanted to study Psychology, but I let a psychologist convince me to study Foreign Languages and Literature instead. I graduated from IULM University in 1998 with a thesis in semiotics on television, and even before finishing my studies, I started working at Mediaset, where I held various roles, gaining experience in promotion, marketing, and eventually in network programming, where I was responsible for selecting international TV series for the schedule of Canale 5. During my corporate experience, my passion for personal development resurfaced, and I began my training in counseling, graduating as a Gestalt Counselor in 2014—the same year I left the company to begin my journey as a freelance professional in the field of personal development and growth. I have always believed that the value of every experience can become a resource for the next one. For this reason, I decided to reconnect with my corporate background by specializing in corporate training through a CEPAS-certified course. In 2015, I discovered mBraining, a new frontier in neuroscience, and became certified as an mBIT Coach. As a lifelong learner, every experience opens the door to new training opportunities, so I decided to become a Business Coach and pursue accreditation with International Coaching Federation (ICF). My passion for the mBraining method led me to do something bold: during one of the most challenging moments of my life, I went to a small town in the Netherlands and attended a training held in English just for me, as the other participants were all Dutch. There, I became one of the six Italian mBIT Trainers, with the opportunity to bring the method into the classroom and certify new mBIT Coaches. The latest (though certainly not the last) passion that has deeply engaged me is the Nova Profile, a tool for personal and professional development. I became a Certified Consultant, and it provides insight into how we function in terms of behavioral preferences and motivational drivers. Through all these programs, I have had many teachers and learned a great deal, but the most important teachers in my life are my children, Aurora and Marco. They both live with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic condition through which I have learned to live in the present moment, to understand that control is an illusion, to appreciate the small and simple things in life, and to realize that couples would benefit more from pre-parenting courses than pre-marital ones. Most importantly, I have learned that the best way to make sense of unexpected and destabilizing life events is to offer one’s experience to others who are going through the same challenges, providing comfort and tools for the journey. For this reason, I collaborate with Famiglie SMA as a peer counselor, supporting parents who, like me, live with SMA every day.
